Thursday traffic in Epsom is never fun, but secretly, it also is. Especially when you get the chance to stop by and visit one of Australasia’s most beloved antique stores and entrepreneurs.

Yvonne Sanders Antiques is one of Aucklands most iconic destinations for Antiques, and after 54 years in business, the business shows no signs of slowing down.

We visited Yvonne on a regular weekday with a camera, 30 minutes to spare which turned into a conversation with one of the most vibrant business owners we've ever had the pleasure of sitting down with.

Yvonne Sanders, 86, built her store around a simple philosophy: turn your passion into your work and you'll never work a day in your life. That philosophy is visible in every corner of the store from 1800s European pieces to ornate chandeliers, rare candelabras, and furniture with decades of history behind them.

Every piece told a story, some even several.

We created a short reel for Yvonne and her daughter Suzy whilst relishing in her wonderful world.

It reminded us all why we do what we do. Find beautiful stories that connect and build content around it.
