Our Story

Since 2017 we’ve been delivering scintillating results for brands like Air New Zealand, The Hilton, The Warriors, Mcdonalds and more. 

Curator was born in 2017 from a simple observation, New Zealand's brands had extraordinary stories to tell, and it was time to do it differently.

Our founder left a career in luxury with a conviction that social media was about to change everything, and that the agencies equipped to harness it didn't exist yet. So we built one from the ground up.

We were among New Zealand's first dedicated social media agencies, focused on campaign management, activations, and something that would define everything we did from day one storytelling. Not as an afterthought. As the foundation for brand.

In those early years we built a network of over 500,000 Instagram followers, worked with talented creators whose craft elevated every campaign we touched, and found ourselves in rooms we hadn't expected , our founder collaborating with international Grammy Award-winning artists including T-Boz of TLC and Chingy, bridging the worlds of music, culture, and brand in ways that felt entirely natural and entirely new.

What we learned in those years has never left us.

That audiences don't respond to content. They respond to stories. And commercially, this stacks up time and time again.

The best campaigns don't feel like marketing, they feel like something worth sharing. Our ethos has always been that behind every great brand are great humans who’s story deserves to be told properly. After spending years in the sales industry, what we’ve learnt is the best way to sell, is not to sell, but rather to tell. No one wants to be hammered with ads, but everyone will stick around for something they enjoy. Theres an art to achieving this and we’ve mastered it.

We've grown from social media pioneers to a full-service cinematic content and storytelling agency working with brands across hospitality, travel , retail, lifestyle, sport, charity and beyond, from New Zealand to 75 countries worldwide.

What hasn't changed is why we do it. And that simply is to tell stories for exceptional brands and people and everyone that connects with them.

We treat every project as if it were our own. We lead with empathy, operate with commercial intelligence, and hold ourselves to a standard that we’ve upheld for a decade and are proud of.
